5 Do's and 5 Don'ts of This Summer | 2018


As all of us know that summer time is here and lots of you guys may have already set your goals for fun time but , there are a few things that we should look after as these summers are more hot than the previous ones , so here are a few things that you should be aware of before enjoying this summer . So , lets see what they are ..........


Do's of this summer

1. Keep a water bottle with you


As you know that the weather is a bit more humid in the months of summer than rest of the year and our body sweats much more in these months so whenever you go outside you house ( for any reason ) , always remember to take a water bottle with you as it might help you in more intense situations like dehydration etc .


2. Wear sunglasses outside the house

Always wear sunglasses while going outside as brilliant sunshine can cause swelling in eyes and can also cause cancer of peri-ocular skin and UV radiations from the sun can also harm and cause a bad effect in the eyes .


3.Use sunblock daily




When going outside the house or in areas where the skin is directly exposed to the sunlight ( like a beach etc ) , wear sun-block as it acts as a shield against the harmful UV rays which penetrates your skin whenever it is exposed to sunlight. You may not notice the benefits now but the advantage of sun-block is felt in the long run.


4. Eat fresh fruits and veggies 




Always try to eat fresh fruits and vegetables as they are loaded with vitamins, minerals , fiber and antioxidants which have been shown to protect the body against chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer. So, instead of eating fast food , mix up your diet with these healthy foods.


5. Take shower daily




As summers bring intense heat with them , you should add taking shower at least once or twice daily in you schedule. Taking showers can also reduce the effect of heat strokes and also keeps the body hydrated and you skin fresh.


Don'ts of this summer


1.Don't go out for too long



A little bit of sun exposure can be healthy for us but too much exposure to sun can be very dangerous as now a days the weather is really humid , it can also cause much more damage like heat stroke etc . Many people die from dehydration because of excess salts and minerals lost from the body due to excessive sweat.

2. Don't eat leftover food



Don't eat food which is leftover for more than 1 or maximum 2 days as in this season , the food gets contaminated much faster then winter season and it also increases the risk of food poisoning or foodborne illness. Refrigerated food should also be eaten within 3-4 days .

3. Avoid caffeine and soft drink


 

Try to avoid caffeine and soft drinks in hot weather because they act as diuretics and cause your body to lose fluids more rapidly than in normal situations. due to excess fluid loss , it can also cause dehydrations and the amount of sugar used in the soft drinks can also be a major problem for diabetic patients. Instead, try to drink herbal teas and fresh juices.

4. Don't wear tight, heavy or dark clothes



Avoid wearing dark and bright colored clothes in summer as they absorb heat much more rapidly.Tight and heavy clothing should also be avoided in this season. Instead, try to wear dull colored clothes through which wind can easily pass and your body would also be well ventilated.

5. Avoid drinking ice cold water



In excessive hot weather , our first priority is always drinking ice cold water. it may have some benefits but it has it's own disadvantages as well. Ice cold water can effectively trigger migraine headaches and can also cause nausea or flu etc. Drinking cold water with a meal can make conditions worse for people dealing with achalasia ( a disease related to esophagus ). It can also harm your immune and digestive system.
